Matrix42 acquires FastViewer

Home office trend accelerates demand for remote access and remote support solutions

Fast-paced start to 2021 at Matrix42:

Matrix42 acquires FastViewer GmbH, a leading provider of remote access, remote support, and collaboration solutions, to better support customers in the prevailing remote working trend.  The long-term partner of Matrix42 is already integrated into the Matrix42 products with its remote access and remote support platform for PCs, laptops, mobile devices, servers, and cloud workloads, making it the perfect addition to the existing portfolio. With the FastViewer acquisition, the Frankfurt-based software manufacturer for digital workspace management is additionally expanding its offering for edge, IoT computing and cloud management.

“The COVID-19 pandemic is the acceleration of acceleration for the digital workplace,” says Oliver Bendig, CEO of Matrix42. “According to a recent Bitkom survey*, 45% of employees currently work predominantly in a home office or outside the traditional office. Reliable and secure remote access and remote maintenance of mobile workstations as well as edge and cloud computing have thus become an important factor for many companies to successfully get through the pandemic. With the acquisition of FastViewer, we can support our customers and their employees even more easily and securely in home office scenarios.”

FastViewer’s software platform enables easy and secure remote access to all types of digital workstations and all common operating systems to troubleshoot. Access from the home office to all corporate infrastructure is easy. In this regard, FastViewer offers very high flexibility and adapts to the security requirements of customers. The solution is available both in the cloud and on-premise. FastViewer is used by 2,000 customers worldwide and is already fully integrated into Matrix42’s Enterprise Service Management and Secure Unified Endpoint Management products.

FastViewer was founded in 2006 in Neumarkt, Upper Palatinate (Bavaria), and has been part of the Atos Unify product portfolio since 2012. Matrix42 buys FastViewer from global digital transformation leader Atos to provide customers with a holistic digital workspace platform.

“By combining Matrix42 and FastViewer, customers have a unique IT management solution to deploy, secure and remotely maintain location-independent digital workplaces. This is how you keep employees productive in the COVID-19 crisis,” says Charles-Henry Duroyon, COO for the Atos Unify portfolio and CEO of FastViewer GmbH.

We are very pleased to welcome the FastViewer team to Matrix42,” says Oliver Bendig. “With FastViewer, this is our second acquisition within six months. With these acquisitions we are consistently pursuing our goal of making digital work as easy and secure as possible for our customers. The integration of FastViewer into our platform brings us a significant step closer to our goal of being the market leader in digital workspace management.
